Indicator Definition

Training is a structured process where individuals or groups receive instruction to improve their knowledge, skills, and abilities. It includes formal or non-formal education, workshops, or practical exercises, specifically aimed at improving participants' capacity to perform tasks, make informed decisions, or address specific challenges more effectively.

Participants have received focused support or instruction to increase their competency in particular areas of natural resource management, climate change, disaster risk management, biodiversity and healthy ecosystems, enabling them to contribute to the goal.

Measuring Unit

The number of persons who have successfully completed training activities in the specified fields. Successful completion requires that trainees meet the completion requirements of the structured training program as defined by the program offered

  • Training Programs: Workshops, seminars, or courses designed to build knowledge and skills in climate change adaptation, natural resource management, disaster risk management, and biodiversity conservation.

  • Capacity Building Initiatives: Programs aimed at strengthening the abilities of individuals, communities, or organizations to respond to environmental challenges

Training Attendance Records: Lists of participants from training sessions attending the required duration (usually minimum 80%).

Additional information (means of verification):
Surveys/Feedback Forms: Collected from participants to verify attendance and measure knowledge gain.
Program Reports: Documentation of training activities and outcomes.

Measuring Frecuency

Data should be collected continuously throughout the project or whenever training activities are completed.

Data Collection Guidance
  1. Collect Attendance Data: Ensure all training sessions have accurate attendance records, including demographic details of participants.

  2. if applicable (not mandatory if step 1 well completed) Survey Participants: After training, use surveys or feedback forms to assess knowledge or skills gained.

  3. Compile Data: Regularly compile and update records to ensure the information is current and accurate.

How to report

  1. Aggregate the total number of individuals who completed training without double counting.

  2. Disaggregate the data by required categories (gender, vulnerable groups).

  3. Report the data annually
