Indicator Definition
| Indicator Name | HUM 004 Percentage of costs for primary stakeholders transferred through cash/voucher modality |
|---|---|
| Indicator Definition | Indicator definition This indicator should be used in all humanitarian response projects where financial assistance is provided directly to primary stakeholders. The purpose of this indicator is to measure the proportion of the total financial support that reaches primary stakeholders through cash-based transfers or voucher systems, as opposed to in-kind assistance or other types of support. This indicator measures the proportion of total direct primary stakeholders costs (i.e., funds intended to be spent on or transferred directly to primary stakeholders) that are distributed through cash or voucher modalities, as opposed to other forms of assistance like in-kind distributions. |

|
|---|---|
| Measuring Frecuency | Collected and reported on a regular basis, ideally quarterly or semi-annually, to reflect the evolving use of cash and voucher modalities in humanitarian response. |
| Data Collection Guidance | Financial Analysis: Review financial records and distribution reports to calculate the total amount of funds transferred to primary stakeholders. Internal Reports: Collect data from project implementers/partners/service providers to verify the types of assistance delivered. Primary stakeholders Feedback: Engage primary stakeholders to verify the type of support received and cross-check with financial records. |
How to report
The percentage of costs transferred through the cash/voucher modality will be calculated by dividing the total cash or voucher amount by the total cost for primary stakeholders, and multiplying by 100. This shows what portion of the stakeholders’ costs were covered through thos modality.
